Five Things I Discovered in Life After College
I’ve been living in Jakarta for roughly six months. There’s no such thing as being grateful for what I’ve got so far. In a world where there’s no clarity but uncertainty, college graduates have to deal with more complex problems from what they used to experience. Some have to work their ass off to survive, but some are just lucky. Some have their life planned, but the rest is just following the stream. What about you? Well, I think I’m just short of a lucky guy who embraced emerging opportunities earlier. I used to be the one who planned everything, but some were to no avail. Whenever I wanted something,…

A Bad Decision-maker and His Inconsistency
Hello mates. How is life going? My week is just so so. There’s nothing special as I imagined before going home. However, it’s pretty much easier at the moment to think about what step I will take. One year full of excitement had been dismissed. But don’t worry, I do have other plans waiting to be executed. Hehe. As any other human beings who live the life as it goes, I barely could say that my future is as bright as my plan. Nope. I do have plans, but don’t you know that I’m a bad decision-maker? Story: Why You Must Take a Gap Year after High School
It’s weird, I know, an inconsistency of the language used in this blog made it even weird. But, I’m trying my best in a way to provide inspiring stories and stuff. Haha. This article is mainly about the story of a friend who took a gap year before entering university. I know that many high school students couldn’t make it to university for some reasons. There’s no time to regret over the failures, I took my own…

What We Could Learn from Portuguese (Part 1)
As an Indonesian living abroad, I’ve been experiencing an abundance of great things ever in my life. I met a lot of people with pretty much different stuff like age, language, culture and you name it. Not only is it shocking, but also it’s either challenging. Fortunately, I’m living in Porto, Portugal, short of a perfect city to stay and start a new whole life for a year. Why did I say that? Simply because I love being here. Portuguese people are super nice and warm, even to strangers. I’ve been to many countries in Europe but still I could see the differences. Honestly, it doesn’t mean that other European…

Less Than An Hour Dialogue with Him
Right after Maghrib, just a day before the eve of Eid al-Fitr I received a call. It was not directed coming to my cell phone, it was my older brother’s phone. I could not think any longer when the last time I heard an incoming call ringtone which popped up the name of this so-called beloved person. It seemed to be a year, or even three years ago, he used to call me without knowing what the reason was. I didn’t do anything but letting the notification disappeared eventually. My arrival in Kandangan, the city of my hometown, was a little bit appropriate moment to fix the gap. I bet…
