Long-lasting Jet Lag After 25H Flight

    July 16, 2018 /

The 25h long-haul flight I flew from Porto-Amsterdam-Kuala Lumpur-Jakarta-Banjarmasin was completely different compared to the one I took when leaving Indonesia. Not only because I, probably, already get used to it, but also the stories that I was carrying all the way to Indonesia by then. It felt like I was having my radio on while playing the setlist that I used to listen to. Beautiful melody from Portuguese group of TUNA, Umi-No Mieru Machi (one of Ghibli ost I listened to), some ballad songs from Fado (Portuguese group too), or other catchy latin songs that easily stick to my mind nowadays which made them familiar every time I went…

    Dilema Menjadi Indonesia Seutuhnya

    May 14, 2018 /

What We Could Learn from Portuguese (Part 2)

    March 30, 2018 /

In the previous article, I already mentioned three things that we, as human-beings, could learn from Portuguese. I know that those things don’t merely belong to Portuguese. Since I’ve been living here for a couple of months, I noticed that the life is going to be easier and happier if everyone could apply them in daily life. 1. Power of Obrigado and Smile Living in Indonesia whose climate is relatively warm in the entire year, stimulates its people to become warm too and give their best smile to everyone. This thing that I was worry about. I was wondering whether people would welcome and befriend me or not. But apparently,…

What We Could Learn from Portuguese (Part 1)

    March 21, 2018 /

As an Indonesian living abroad, I’ve been experiencing an abundance of great things ever in my life. I met a lot of people with pretty much different stuff like age, language, culture and you name it. Not only is it shocking, but also it’s either challenging. Fortunately, I’m living in Porto, Portugal, short of a perfect city to stay and start a new whole life for a year. Why did I say that? Simply because I love being here. Portuguese people are super nice and warm, even to strangers. I’ve been to many countries in Europe but still I could see the differences. Honestly, it doesn’t mean that other European…

((((9 things I wish I knew earlier)))) [1] Life's ((((9 things I wish I knew earlier)))) [1] Life's never been easy, stop complaining, it's a journey, not about the destination. [2] The greatest failure is a good start of a journey. [3] Privilege does exist. [4] But, people could go the extra mile. [5] As we graduated from college, we've wasted 2/3 of most. productive age of our life. [6] Friend isn't everything, never rely on them. [7] The best way to learn is by leaving the hometown/going overseas. [8] Being employed isn't as interesting as it might seem, but yeah the money helps. [SWIPE] These photos were taken in Singapore last [SWIPE] These photos were taken in Singapore last year when I managed to take her on her first abroad experience. It was just lit since we're students but could afford our own short getaway.

Fortunately, we could survive without parent's financial support tho. I'm working while she's running her own business too👍

It's totally a whole new experience.

"Nanti persiapan buat main-main saju," katanya. 😂

Indeed, it's gonna be a wonderful moment to witness the leaves fall, to grab some snow, or even to run altogether along the coastlines next year 👍

Semoga segera #adatiketnya buat #SobatJalanJepang kakak-adik ini yaa 😍 @kumparancom @tiketcom #tiketcomxkumparan

It's a relief to have my thesis defense today. Why It's a relief to have my thesis defense today. Why on first day? It's on purpose, by hoping that I could immediately fly to Bangkok for a program. But the reality is not as easy as it might seem. I need to choose either going to Bangkok or having my thesis defense today.
Obviously, I chose the most important one. I thought it's gonna be impossible to get this done after having no progress during my-two-week program in Germany 😂 But today I managed to present my proudness of being a banjarese - the Sustainable Floating Market project with more than 80 pages of thesis report, 32 pages of A2 drawings, and 8 modular 3D model in from of four professors. The result might be not as good as others, but I believe the process would contribute much in improving and developing myself to be a better individual. Thank you for everyone involved in the process 🙏 #Architecture #Project #ITS
