The Cost of Being Honest in A Corrupt Society

    January 19, 2023 /

Being honest in a corrupt society can be a challenging and costly mission. From my personal experience, speaking the truth can often lead to backlash and ostracism from those who are content with the status quo. I remember an incident from my past experience when I was involved in a community project under a leader who abused his power for his own personal gain. It was a community project that was supposed to help the less fortunate, but the leader used it as an opportunity to build his own dynasty. Despite my discomfort with the situation, I felt pressure to stay silent and go along with the actions of my colleagues.…

The COVID-19 Story, things we take for granted

    August 10, 2021 /

After all the drama I experienced, this article would definitely be the last thing I’m gonna share. As the world doesn’t revolve around me, I realized that there is a priority when it comes to addressing an issue. Not only are you struggling with resources, but you’re also battling with time. The longer this pandemic continues, the more we will suffer from material and immaterial losses. Everyone’s life has been so demanding since the pandemic began. As a result, there must be a sense of tolerance as well as acceptance if we seek aid. We couldn’t escape the fact that we require each other’s help as social creatures. I’ve had…

The COVID-19 Story, the worst is yet to come

    July 26, 2021 /

The state of emergency for covid-19, also known as PPKM Darurat, was declared from July 3 until July 20, 2021. However, on Tuesday, the last day of PPKM Darurat, Indonesian President Joko Widodo announced on his official YouTube channel a five-day extension till July 25, 2021. The reason for this is that the number of covid-19 cases in Indonesia is rapidly increasing, and I was one of them contributing to the cases. My roommate developed severe symptoms on Friday, one day before PPKM Darurat was implemented. He wasn’t sure if those symptoms were likely to be Covid-19’s at first. As a result, he went off to work as usual. However,…

    Everything Happens For A Reason

    August 30, 2020 /

There were myriad moments in my life that made me difficult to forget. The moment when I failed the university admission exam, the moment I didn’t win a competition, and the moment when I lose some precious stuffs that belong to me. They were full of bad experience indeed. Not only because they were “pricey”, but also those stuff no longer could support me to run the day and the future. These are some stories I’m trying to recall that gave me immense lessons in life. I’m not sure to what extent the lessons have contributed to shape who I am today. But, the failure and loss as the result…

((((9 things I wish I knew earlier)))) [1] Life's ((((9 things I wish I knew earlier)))) [1] Life's never been easy, stop complaining, it's a journey, not about the destination. [2] The greatest failure is a good start of a journey. [3] Privilege does exist. [4] But, people could go the extra mile. [5] As we graduated from college, we've wasted 2/3 of most. productive age of our life. [6] Friend isn't everything, never rely on them. [7] The best way to learn is by leaving the hometown/going overseas. [8] Being employed isn't as interesting as it might seem, but yeah the money helps. No more wishes but the best for 2020!

[SWIPE] These photos were taken in Singapore last [SWIPE] These photos were taken in Singapore last year when I managed to take her on her first abroad experience. It was just lit since we're students but could afford our own short getaway.

Sebagai anak paling terakhir dari tujuh bersaudara, tinggal kita berdua nih yang belum mapan dan berkeluarga. Fortunately, we could survive without parent's financial support tho. I'm working while she's running her own business too👍

Selama seminggu penuh, dia amazed banget sama gimana bedanya Singapore dengan kota tempat kita tinggal yang berjarak 5-6 jam dari Ibukota di Banjarmasin.

It's totally a whole new experience.

"Nanti persiapan buat main-main saju," katanya. 😂

Indeed, it's gonna be a wonderful moment to witness the leaves fall, to grab some snow, or even to run altogether along the coastlines next year 👍

Semoga segera #adatiketnya buat #SobatJalanJepang kakak-adik ini yaa 😍 @kumparancom @tiketcom #tiketcomxkumparan

It's a relief to have my thesis defense today. Why It's a relief to have my thesis defense today. Why on first day? It's on purpose, by hoping that I could immediately fly to Bangkok for a program. But the reality is not as easy as it might seem. I need to choose either going to Bangkok or having my thesis defense today.
Obviously, I chose the most important one. I thought it's gonna be impossible to get this done after having no progress during my-two-week program in Germany 😂 But today I managed to present my proudness of being a banjarese - the Sustainable Floating Market project with more than 80 pages of thesis report, 32 pages of A2 drawings, and 8 modular 3D model in from of four professors. The result might be not as good as others, but I believe the process would contribute much in improving and developing myself to be a better individual. Thank you for everyone involved in the process 🙏 #Architecture #Project #ITS
